Not a big deal but I think most people enjoy having two pillows each (there were two of us). There are also no room darkening shades on the exterior windows.

There is a window over the entrance doorway that has the hallway light shining in at all times. The room includes a small fridge and coffeemaker. I also loved having coffee in the morning in the circular area with little windows under the spiral stairs. Our room was huge and we enjoyed having wine on our private porch overlooking the lake. stonecutters pub service and food was great.

The hotel had lovely antique castle-like decor. I did not hear back from the owners, but their lodging manager who refused to anything to compensate us for their inadequate service. Upon my return home I wrote a letter to the owners stating our displeasure with the experience and service. When we suggested that $30 off of a $330 room wasnt compensation enough for a night's lost sleep at this 5 diamond rate, they refused to do anything more. Their expalination was that they have their cleaning crews come at night and they tell them to be be as quiet as they can. When we complained to the desk clerk they took $30 off of our $330 first night room rate ( less than 10%). At 1:00 in the morning we were woken up by a cleaning crew talking and vacuuming outside our door for a solid hour. After the desk clerk tried starting it for nearly half an hour maintenance had to be called to get it working and then said to just leave it on all day and night. Spent our 35th wedding anniversary at the Bellhurst Castle and even booked the same most expensive room in the Hotel that we stayed on out Honeymoon in 1987, the Dwyer Suite.
